The fact that two of our boys have major environmental allergies means that keeping our carpets clean is a top priority in our house. Having our carpets cleaned regularly is an important part of reducing allergens in our home.
Dirt and dust in the carpet is inevitable, especially with 3 little boys and all their friends in and out of the house all day. It had been almost a year since we last had our carpets cleaned, so when Tree Tunnel Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning asked if I would give a thorough review of their carpet cleaning service, I agreed.
The last carpet cleaning service we used, did a terrible job on our carpets. The technician used way too much water and our carpets ended up taking over 36 hours to dry–they claim that their carpets dry in 4-6 hrs. My sons’ room took so long to dry and so much water was used that it developed gym bag mildew smell–which I had to get out (baking soda and then a vinegar spray). I was not happy.

Tree Tunnel Carpet Cleaning is night and day from the other carpet cleaners we’ve used. The technician was very knowledgeable, told us exactly what to expect from his cleaning based on the age of our carpet, and gave us tips to prolong the life and look of our carpet.

I was really impressed by how thorough the Tree Tunnel Carpet Cleaning tech was. In my boys’ bedroom, their beds are too heavy to move and we opted not to move their desk. Instead the tech attached a smaller tool and painstakingly cleaned the carpets in all the tight corners and in between and around the legs of the boys’ desk.
Though the tech had already finished using the smaller tool to attack the nooks and crannies, here is a picture of the boys’ room as the tech cleaned it with the rotovac.
Tree Tunnel Upholstery Cleaning
The crowning glory of Tree Tunnel Carpet Cleaners’ visit was the number they did on our old, disgusting, microfiber couches. We bought our couches used over 9 years ago. And, I freely admit that we do not have a no jumping on the couches rule. Therefore, our couches have sustained significant abuse and dirtying by our 3 boys over the years. I’ve cleaned them a couple times, but it is an all day job and it had been a few years since I’d attempted it.

The tech was very thorough in his couch cleaning. He sprayed them with the cleaning solution, gave them a good scrubbing, and then did his couch cleaning magic…
He cleaned the pillows, the armrests, the base and all around the outside of the couch as well. After the couches were dry (they took about 5 hrs to dry completely), I ran to the store and got a nylon bristle bathroom scrub brush. I brushed really well over all the entire couch to loosen up the microfiber and get rid of the cleaning lines.

We are so pleased! Our carpets are so clean and soft, our couches look ages younger and so much cleaner.
