Chocolate Coconut No-Bake Protein Cookie BallsI hope you enjoy this vegan Chocolate Coconut No-Bake Protein Balls recipe!

Our family is constantly in search healthy snacks that are packed with protein and good fats. Given our nut allergies this quest for healthful snacks is often a bit of a challenge. Even more challenging is finding a nut-free, protein packed, healthful, sweet treat. Now, that’s a tall order.

Recently, Orgain sent me some of their new Orgain SLIM organic protein powder to try. We are already big fans of Orgain, so I was excited to try their newest protein powder. Orgain SLIM is an organic plant based protein with 20g of plant based protein per 2 scoop serving. It also has whole foods metabolism boosters and probiotics. I absolutely love this Orgain SLIM protein powder formulation. I drink it for breakfast every morning, but I got me thinking. I  wondered if I could use the Orgain SLIM to create a healthful, sweet treat they my husband and kids would love.Chocolate No-Bake Protein Cookies Ingredients

I set out to create a protein and healthy-fat-filled treat that my husband and kids would love too. These simple No-Bake Chocolate Coconut Protein Balls were just what I was hoping for! I really lucked out with these. I didn’t have to do much experimenting because the protein powder just tastes so good on its own.

I know a lot of these ingredients aren’t things that everyone keeps in their pantry on a normal basis, so if you don’t have these ingredients yet, you can find most of them in Sprouts or Whole Foods, or you can find them online here:

(I’m linking to the websites that carry these items at the lowest price.)

Orgain SLIM Chocolate Protein Powder (Amazon.com)

Sunflower Seed Butter or Sunbutter (Amazon.com)

Tapioca Flour (Thrive Market*)

Nutiva Raw Shelled Hempseed (Thrive Market*)

Unrefined Coconut Oil (Thrive Market*)

Unsweetened Shredded Coconut (Thrive Market*)

If you’re unfamiliar with Thrive Market, it is like Whole Foods meets Costco…only online…and you don’t have to buy in bulk. They carry some of the best natural and organic brands at really good discounted prices. I’m a price shopper and Thrive Market is my go-to place for packaged organic foods. You pay a yearly membership of $60 and then you start saving. I joined in September, and I’ve saved over $360 so far. Definitely worth it.

As always, feel free to be creative with the ingredients you add in. Next time I want to try adding freeze dried strawberry bits! If you make these Chocolate Coconut No-Bake Protein Balls I’d love to know what you think of them!
