Gift Ideas for Babies, Toddlers, and Expectant Parents

25 Gift Ideas for Babies and Toddlers

I love buying baby gifts! I’m not sure I know anyone who doesn’t.

Even though my youngest, Little Z who is now almost 3, doesn’t like me to call him a baby anymore, I’m still surrounded by babies. My sister-in-law has an 18 month old toddler, and I have two sisters who are expecting babies soon. I recruited my sister-in-law Dallas and her adorable son to help me round up and review some of these awesome gift ideas for babies, toddlers, and expectant parents!

Suitables™ Bibs by Mixed Pears

Suitables Role Play Bib by Mixed Pears

Having a toddler who now insists on doing everything himself, especially eating, comes with its challenges, especially since he hates regular bibs. However, we got the adorable Suitables™ Role Play Bibs by Mixed Pears and it made a huge difference. Our son loves helping me put it on him because it’s just like putting on his jacket, only backwards. It covers his clothes completely and even has a pouch at the bottom to catch and loose food that falls. Not to mention, it is very easy to clean.

Suitables Role Play Bibs make the perfect gift ideas for baby! They retail for $24.95. Check out all the fun styles including a doctor, a firefighter, a clown fish, and many more at MixedPears.com!

FantaStack Blocks by HABA

FantaStack blocks by HABA

The FantaStack Blocks by HABA is actually the first block set we got for our now 19 month old. He doesn’t quite understand building towers yet, so he just knocks down the towers we make and laughs, but at least he enjoys them! FantaStack Blocks is a set of 26 blocks of varying shapes and colors. Our son loves putting the cylinder blocks into the blocks with holes. It’s a great way to teach kids colors and shapes, and even how rainbow works with the clear blocks! They are best for children a year old and up.

You can purchase FantaStack Blocks at HABA USA for $29.99.

The Original Squeeze™

Squeeze

A typical snack for our toddler is an applesauce pouch…or two…or three. Let’s be honest, the ones they sell at the store pre packaged don’t really hold a lot. There are many different kinds of refillable pouches, but I personally haven’t seen ones that hold as much as The Original Squeeze™. We have a big eater on our hands (no joke, this 18 month old weighs more than Amy’s 2 1/2 year old), so the bigger the pouch the better.

What’s even better is how easy it is to clean out! I just use the bottle cleaner and I’m done in seconds. Plus, I get to experiment with different flavors, and I don’t have to worry about any chunks getting stuck because the opening is decently sized. The Original Squeeze™ comes in different colors and styles: small ones that are perfect for babies who are being introduced to foods, and athletic ones that are great to take on runs or to a game.

The Original Squeeze retails for $14.99.

Aqueduck Bath Spout Extender + Cover

The Aqueduck Bath Spout Extender by Peachy® is plastic, BPA-free, and attaches to nearly any bathtub faucet, creating a curved spout that directs the running water onto a child’s head and upper body.Aqueduck faucet extender

We’ve had a history of issues with Little Z being scared of bath time. He hates getting water in his eyes. The Aqueduck Bath Spout Extender and Cover has made hair washing tear (and scream!) free. The faucet in the bathtub at my mother-in-law’s house, where we are currently living, is very short. Without the Aqueduck Bath Spout Extender it is virtually impossible to wash a child’s hair under the faucet. The Aqueduck makes it possible and easy to rinse Little Z’s hair and protects him from scraping his head on the faucet.

Now we just need to get an Aqueduck for our sink faucet! The Aqueduck Bath Spout extender and Cover can be purchased from Peachyco.com for $12.99.

SoapSox

soapsoxMuch easier for little hands to use than a traditional washcloth, Soapsox helps little ones get cleaner while having fun. Built-in finger pockets allow for secure scrubbing for older toddlers and kids (or parents). Each SoapSox animal has a a clever opening for liquid soap or bar soap. I totally love that I can just slide a bar of soap right into the SoapSox instead of having to reapply soap every time I rinse the washcloth.

SoapSox hippo and duck

SoapSox come in characters that are perfect for babies, toddlers, and kids of all ages.  Each SoapSox animal comes with a cute name to get your kids even more excited about bath time! Our hippo is Hunter, and our duckling is Emma. How cute is that.

SoapSox make the perfect gift ideas for babies, toddlers, and beyond!  SoapSox bathtime characters retail for $14.95 each.

Yookidoo’s Stack N Spray Tub Fountain

Okay, this has got to be one of my 2 year old’s favorite gift guide items! Yookidoo‘s Stack N Spray Tub Fountain is a battery operated tub fountain with water circulating pumping system. It provides bath time entertainment and reduces water anxiety, and is designed for kids ages 1-6. Though, I’m sure my 8 year old would freely admit that he’d be happy to go back to his bathtub days if he could play with the Stack N Spray Tub Fountain.

Yookidoo's Stack N Spray Tub FountainThe Stack N Spray Tub Fountain comes with 5 stackable boats and figures that spray water in various directions. Kids can experiment with different stacking/spray combinations. The water spray is gentle so even the most water-cautious kids have fun. Stacking helps promote hand-eye coordination.  Stack the colorful boats and characters on the base and watch the water flow out their tops, pushing them back into the tub to be restacked again and again.  Figures are shaped to stack in any order or to float on their own in the tub, too!

Yookidoo Stack N Spray Tub Fountain reatils for $24.99 and is available for purchase at Toysrus.com.
