…You get full bellies, an amazing time, new friends, and Sahale Snacks.
Recently, I was invited to become a Sahale Snacks brand ambassador. The more I learned about the brand the more excited I was to be a part of what they represent.
“Thoughtfully sourced, carefully crafted, committed to community.”
To help the new brand ambassadors become a bit more familiar with the brand we were invited to spend a few days at the Sahale Snacks headquarters in Seattle, Washington. Thus began some of the most fun three days I’ve spent.
When Sahale Snacks (pronounced Su-hall-ee) say they are “Beyond Ordinary” they truly mean it. And, Beyond Ordinary doesn’t just stop at their amazing non-gmo nut blends. I beyond impressed by all the Beyond Ordinary Sahale family I met. Everyone was so kind and so passionate.
We were given a tour of the factory and got to see just how the Sahale Snacks blends are made. Don’t we all look stunning in our factory garb? I never realized I was so tall! Despite the fact that Sahale Snacks is a relatively small company, they employ people in their factory from all around the world. It was so cool to see so many countries represented as we walked through the factory. Sahale Snacks does more for the world than just employing people who live in it. They are actively involved in making the communities they source their ingredients from better and more sustainable. We heard from one of the co-founders, an outdoor enthusiast, and foodie, about the inception of Sahale Snacks.
Of course a visit to Seattle isn’t complete without a visit to Pike Place Market! I’d never been before. It was like the Seattle version of Portobello Road. LOL.
I couldn’t resist putting that scary fish up in the corner. I’m not sure about you, but that made me feel more like I was about to be dinner and less like I was about to eat dinner. The highlight of the trip, however, was getting to sample and experiment with the Sahale Snacks themselves. I’m kind of addicted to the Thai Cashews, and the Pomegranate Vanilla Cashews, oh, and the Valdosta Pecans, etc., etc.
We were lucky enough to be allowed into the R&D kitchen to design our own blends! It is silly, but I was really nervous. I felt like I was about to be tested on my ability to create a fusion of flavors in a kitchen I was completely unfamiliar with. All my nerves melted away however, as soon as we got started. My partner in flavor, Julianne from Beyond Frosting, is a master with sweet things. We had our “Winter Carol” Blend whipped up in no time!
Walnuts & Pecans, cranberries, pomegranate infused apples, maple sugar, brown sugar, cloves, vanilla, orange juice, and a touch of sea salt! Mmm…tastes like Christmas!
You can follow both Sahale Snacks and me on Instagram for more mouthwatering snacks! If you just can’t help yourself and you know that you absolutely must try Sahale Snacks for yourself (and I certainly don’t blame you if you do), check out their snack finder to find Sahale Snacks in your area.
