The new school year is upon us, yet again. The days of warm nights by the campfire and sunburns at the pool are being replaced with textbooks and essays. While I will miss the warm weather, I love the excitement that comes with the first day of school. This year will be especially exciting in our house since we are a house full of college students; two of which are incoming freshman, and another is starting a master’s program! So, although we do not have the privilege of having a child in elementary school, yet, we still get to experience all of the joys of a chaotic school year.

The school year is stressful enough, and adding meals and dishes to the mix is not my idea of a good time. However, there are some ways to make those extra, necessary chores a bit easier. Unfortunately for us, we do not have the means to order take-out every night, so we have to find other ways to lighten the load-like getting nice, new pots and pans!

Don’t forget to check the end of the post for the Photo Contest and Giveaway!

The T-Fal Excite Cookware set has been extremely helpful, especially on nights when I just need to throw something together. Not only do they distribute the heat well, but, being non-stick, they are also easy to clean. There have been too many times with old, cheap pans where I have had to constantly move my food around the pan so it can all be evenly cooked. With the T-Fal Excite cookware pans, all I have to do is flip and each shrimp, egg, etc. was cooked evenly and at the same time.

Then, when each meal was finished, I simply rinsed off the pans and all of the food came off easily. Plus, if I am in a rush and do not have time to wash the dishes by hand, these pots and pans are dishwasher safe. No more worrying about whether or not your dishwasher will ruin your nice cookware!

Even though they say “non-stick,” that does not mean “no matter what.” I learned that the hard way while using the One-Egg Wonder. I got ahead of myself and turned the heat up too high one morning while making breakfast and decided to check out how accurate the “non-stick” label was. Well, to my embarrassment, the first couple of eggs were over cooked and burning to the pan. So, I finally decided to turn the heat down and I ended up making a beautiful, evenly cooked egg, without any oil or butter.

If you’re wanting to cook cleaner (without oils) then I would recommend this cookware set. Maybe it is because I am so used to dull black pots and pans, but I especially love the bright colors! T-Fal sells the Excite cookware in Aluminum and Stainless Steal. The T-fal Excite Cookware comes in Cherry, Tangerine, Grape, Turquoise, Kiwi, and Berry (NEW! – Available Spring 2015).

This recipe for Garlic Shrimp Pasta is quick and easy! From the time I started, to the time I was at the kitchen eating was less than 30 minutes. Plus, it was a hit!
