Omega Juicer

I’m a documentary watcher.

I love them.  And Netflix has a lot of great ones.  Because I’m always hungry I’m naturally drawn to food documentaries.  One day I found myself completely wrapped up in the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead“.  I was so intrigued that I made my husband watch it with me again that night.

Now, I’m neither fat nor sick.  I certainly hope I’m not nearly dead, but the documentary got me thinking.  It really spoke to my desire to feed myself and my family more healthy foods. In general we eat fairly well; very little processed foods, lots of veggies for dinner, very little grains.

Despite our best efforts, I know that neither my husband and I nor my children eat as many fresh vegetables as we ought.  And the ability of a fresh juice to get nutrients to your system fast is unparalleled. So, The Husband started looking into juicers, but to be honest, there were just so dang many to choose from!  We hadn’t the slightest clue where to start.  Centrifugal vs. Masticating, RPMs, ease of cleaning, efficiency.  There were just so many variables that we threw our hands in the air and gave up the search.

Fast forward a year.  I got the brilliant idea to surprise The Husband with a juicer for Christmas.  I hopped on Amazon.com and there on the first page of results was the juicer of my dreams…

The Omega 8004 Juicer

I read a few of the user reviews and was sold.  I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Omega 8004 Juicer, Masticating Juicer

Here’s a bit more about the Omega 8004 Juicer:

The Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer is a masticating style juice extractor. Its ability to juice at low speeds – 80 RPM minimizes heat build-up and oxidation. The result is healthy fresh juice with the high enzyme content that health conscious individuals crave. Nutrition Centers are engineered with powerful components that can easy extract juice from wheatgrass and leafy vegetables, so there is no limit to variety of juice you can make. Nutrition Centers are not just for juicing; they turn nuts into nut butter, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, mince herbs and garlic, make baby food, and whip up soy milk in a flash. Use Nutrition Centers to make delicious healthy drinks and snacks everyone will love.

  • Continuous Juicing with Automatic Pulp Ejection
  • Exclusive “Dual Stage” Masticating Extraction
  • High Juice Yield – Very Dry Pulp
  • 8 Times Stronger GE Ultem Auger
  • Powerful Commercial Motor
  • Less Foaming Than Double Gear Juicers
  • No Heat Rise Promotes Healthier, Longer Lasting Juice
  • Engineered for Quiet Operation and Long Life

You’ll see in my video review below just how easy the Omega 8004 juicer is to assemble and use.  You’ll also see some of the cool extras the “Juicer” comes with.  I put “Juicer” in quotation marks because it’s actual name is the Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer.

It really does so much more than juice (though it does that and does it well).  I’m excited to use it to make salsa…as soon as I can remember to buy all the ingredients–I’m always forgetting just one.  And, if we did baby food that would be pretty cool too.  Oh, and it can also make sorbets?!!  How is it that I have not tried that one yet?  The culinary possibilities are pretty vast.

Anywho, here is a little peek at the Omega 8004 Juicer.

Like I say in the video, juicing has been so wonderful for our family.  My boys love all but one of the juices I’ve made them. LOL I learned pretty quickly just how much kale we can tolerate in a juice.  I am so happy that they are getting their veggies and greens and enjoying it too!

My silly boys with their “vampire” juice mustaches…

The Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer retails for $259.99, a very competitive price for a masticating juicer.  You can learn more about the Omega juicers at OmegaJuicers.com or by reading the informative reviews on *Amazon.com. *My affiliate link.

Keep an eye out on Sunday for a delicious juice recipe your whole family will love!

  1. That looks like an awesome juicer! I'm a documentary-watcher too, so I could totally see myself juicing up a glass of something delicious and then settling in for a Netlfix night. LOL!
  2. I've been wanting to get a juicer for a while now. My kids are horrible about eating their vegetables, but love juice. Can't wait to see your juice recipe!
  3. I so want a juicer!
  4. We have an older model of the Omega juicer and love making frozen banana ice cream in it!
  5. Awesome! I also got a juice after watching Fat Sick and Nearly Dead! I'm glad that you kids love the juice, I wish my mom would've done that for me to eat my veggies. The Omega is much better than the Breville that is used in the film. :-)
  6. My husband really wants a juicer and just like anything else the motor is very important. This sounds like it has a great one with power. Thanks for the information and demonstration which really helps learn about this model.
  7. My husband and I have been going back and forth on which juicer to eventually buy, just like you and your husband were. There are so many different kinds, but this one sounds awesome! Thanks for the great review!
  8. I really like the benefits of Juicing. I just got one a few months ago and I love it. It is apart of my everyday lifestyle now and even the kids love it.
  9. This looks like a very nice juicer. I really want to start juicing for breakfast.
