I’m a documentary watcher.
I love them. And Netflix has a lot of great ones. Because I’m always hungry I’m naturally drawn to food documentaries. One day I found myself completely wrapped up in the documentary “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead“. I was so intrigued that I made my husband watch it with me again that night.
Now, I’m neither fat nor sick. I certainly hope I’m not nearly dead, but the documentary got me thinking. It really spoke to my desire to feed myself and my family more healthy foods. In general we eat fairly well; very little processed foods, lots of veggies for dinner, very little grains.
Despite our best efforts, I know that neither my husband and I nor my children eat as many fresh vegetables as we ought. And the ability of a fresh juice to get nutrients to your system fast is unparalleled. So, The Husband started looking into juicers, but to be honest, there were just so dang many to choose from! We hadn’t the slightest clue where to start. Centrifugal vs. Masticating, RPMs, ease of cleaning, efficiency. There were just so many variables that we threw our hands in the air and gave up the search.
Fast forward a year. I got the brilliant idea to surprise The Husband with a juicer for Christmas. I hopped on Amazon.com and there on the first page of results was the juicer of my dreams…
The Omega 8004 Juicer
I read a few of the user reviews and was sold. I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed.
Here’s a bit more about the Omega 8004 Juicer:
The Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer is a masticating style juice extractor. Its ability to juice at low speeds – 80 RPM minimizes heat build-up and oxidation. The result is healthy fresh juice with the high enzyme content that health conscious individuals crave. Nutrition Centers are engineered with powerful components that can easy extract juice from wheatgrass and leafy vegetables, so there is no limit to variety of juice you can make. Nutrition Centers are not just for juicing; they turn nuts into nut butter, extrude pasta, grind coffee and spices, mince herbs and garlic, make baby food, and whip up soy milk in a flash. Use Nutrition Centers to make delicious healthy drinks and snacks everyone will love.

You’ll see in my video review below just how easy the Omega 8004 juicer is to assemble and use. You’ll also see some of the cool extras the “Juicer” comes with. I put “Juicer” in quotation marks because it’s actual name is the Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer.
It really does so much more than juice (though it does that and does it well). I’m excited to use it to make salsa…as soon as I can remember to buy all the ingredients–I’m always forgetting just one. And, if we did baby food that would be pretty cool too. Oh, and it can also make sorbets?!! How is it that I have not tried that one yet? The culinary possibilities are pretty vast.
Anywho, here is a little peek at the Omega 8004 Juicer.
Like I say in the video, juicing has been so wonderful for our family. My boys love all but one of the juices I’ve made them. LOL I learned pretty quickly just how much kale we can tolerate in a juice. I am so happy that they are getting their veggies and greens and enjoying it too!
My silly boys with their “vampire” juice mustaches…
The Omega 8004 Nutrition Center Juicer retails for $259.99, a very competitive price for a masticating juicer. You can learn more about the Omega juicers at OmegaJuicers.com or by reading the informative reviews on *Amazon.com. *My affiliate link.
