My kids are having such a fun time with our Elf on the Shelf “Happy”. The first thing they do every morning when they wake up is run to find where Happy is “hiding”. “Happy always finds the best places” they told me the other day.
I love seeing their excitement about our Elf on the Shelf and his magical ability to move and do things when they aren’t looking!
But, if you’ve ever searched “Elf on the Shelf Ideas” on Pinterest you’ll find some fairly elaborate tableaux. I’m not sure about you, but my experience with the Elf on the Shelf is usually at 11 pm, my eyes glazed over, my head swimming with exhaustion, my body’s sole goal to crawl into the blissful oblivion of restful slumber….oh CRAP! I forgot to move the Elf on the Shelf!
So, in honor of those who, like me, want enraptured children with minimal effort on your part, here are a few of my Cute, Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas.
Reading his favorite book – ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas
Santa’s not the only one who loves cookies…
On Cherries Jubilee, On Glory, On Baby Glory! Hey, an Elf can dream can’t he…
Showing the kids how to practice good dental hygiene…
Just hangin’ around…
A little nighttime snack…
He couldn’t find the cups…
If you haven’t yet purchased an Elf on the Shelf for your family, you can find them on Amazon.com. (They can occasionally be difficult to find in stores because they tend to sell out.)
