My baby is finally getting enough hair for me to do it! I am so excited! I love doing the cute little baby girl hairstyles, making pony tails and braids, so I am starting to have a lot of fun with her. She is almost two though so getting her to sit still is sometimes difficult! She likes to play with the squirt bottle so I just let her have that while I work on her hair and that usually gets her to sit still for a few minutes. 🙂
Tools needed for the Four-Square Ponies
- Brush
- Comb
- Squirt Bottle
- 4 Small elastics
- Hairspray
- Bows, clips (optional)
So to start off I squirt her hair with water and then I use the comb to make a part down the middle. (Isn’t her hair so sad and thin! But the sad thing is this is so much hair for her!)
Then from here I divide each side in half. So I have a front section and a back section on each side. Then I gather up each front section and make a pony tail securing it with an elastic band.
Now I just make two more pony tails in the back. One on the left and one on the right. When I gather up the rest of the hair into the pony tail I pull the front pony tail towards the back and include it into the elastic to connect them.
TaDa! All done! A cute and easy baby girl hairstyle! You can add flowers or bows to the back two pony tails if you like. I usually do but I don’t have anything to match this lime green shirt so that’s why I like the colored elastic bands. I can just find some that will match her outfit and then I don’t have to add a bow but she still looks cute and matchy!
