Baby Brother is two months old!  Well, actually he’s almost 10 weeks–I’m a little late on this post.  The Husband and I were marveling yesterday how fast time is going.  It seems like we just brought the little guy home from the hospital a few days ago!

I can’t believe how fast he is growing!  His growth has really been amazing when contrasted with his slow growth the first month.  The reasons for his slow growth have been a constant source of frustration, but that’s an entire post in itself.  For now, let it suffice to say that he gained almost 3 lbs. this month and grew 2 inches.

Here is a look at his weight and height trends  (don’t worry, I won’t do this every month :)):

Birth:

8 lbs.

21 inches

4 Weeks:

8 lbs. 2 oz

21 3/4 inches

6  Weeks:

8 lbs. 3 oz

9 Weeks:

10 lbs 13 oz.

23 3/4 inches

Yep, you’re reading that right.  The boy gained 2 lbs 10 oz in just 3 weeks!  That much needed weight gain is thanks to formula supplementing.

In other baby news, I think that Baby Brother is the smiliest baby I’ve ever seen!  I love it when I go in to get him from his nap or when he wakes up in the morning.  He’s usually fussing when I go in to get him, but as soon as he sees me his face lights up with the most perfect smile!  Good mornin Mama!

Our last son had really bad colic for his first 6 months so The Husband and I just marvel at how happy Baby Brother is.  It is such a blessing!

Give him a full belly and he really turns on the charm!  He just started to giggle, I’m hoping to get a video of that soon!

Here are a few picture of the little man…

  1. Aww he's so sweet! And so tiny, even though he's doing good gaining weight. I miss my little guy being that little!
  2. He's adorable. Love that last pic. Looks like baby is looking up to his sibling.
