Since learning about the potentially harmful effects of common ingredients in our personal care products I’ve been much more conscientious about purchasing personal care products that are free sulfates, parabens, and petroleum, and other harmful ingredients.  When it comes to what I expose my children and baby to I am even more cautious.

In searching around for safer alternatives to the baby care products I used to use, I’ve found that some of the eco-friendly and baby friendly alternatives can be very pricey.  I can’t tell you how grateful I was to find out about Live Clean Baby!

Not only is Live Clean Baby formulated without all the harmful ingredients, it is also quite affordable.  A Canadian company, you can find Live Clean Baby products at prices ranging from $5 to $15 at Walgreens and Walgreens.com.  The Live Clean Baby line has everything you’ll need to keep your baby clean and moisturized.  They even have formulas for those with sensitive skin and eczema.

Live Clean Baby sent us their baby collection to try out.
non-petroleum jellyWe began using the Live Clean Baby Non-Petroleum Jelly from day 1 home from the hospital to care for Baby Brother’s circumcision.  Since learning that petroleum based products can act as hormone disruptors the last thing I wanted to do was put petroleum jelly on baby’s little man parts.

The Non-Petroleum Jelly was just as easy to use and worked just as well as any petroleum jelly I’ve used in the past, and it was very comforting to know that we weren’t putting anything potentially harmful on our baby.

moisturizing baby bathWe’ve also been using the Moisturizing Baby Bath almost every day.  It has the baby bath smell that’s typical of most baby bath products I’ve used in the past.  Typical of the Live Clean Baby line, the Moisturizing Baby Bath is formulated with extreme care for your baby.  To give you an idea of the care Live Clean takes with it’s baby products here is a description of the Live Clean Baby Baby Wash:

Live Clean Baby Moisturizing Baby Bath is a clinically tested, mild, tear-free formula that gently moisturizes and cleanses, leaving baby’s skin feeling soft and smooth. This natural formula is made with purified water and enriched with certified organic botanicals of chamomile, lavender and aloe.

  • 98% Plant Ingredients
  • Petroleum Free
  • SLS Free
  • Tear Free
  • Paraben & Phthalate Free
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Pediatrician Tested

I’ve also been very pleased with the Baby Lotion.  A couple days after we came home from the hospital Baby Brother’s skin started peeling.  Some of this I think is typical of newborns, but given that it is winter, I didn’t want his skin to become overly dry and flaky.  I put the lotion on Baby right after I bathe him.  It isn’t greasy, but it does leave his skin nice and moisturized.  And I love the “clean baby smell” it gives him!

I’m so happy to have found a baby care line that is safe for my baby, affordable, and sold at my local Walgreens!  You can check the Walgreen’s website to find which Live Clean Baby products are available at your local store.

You can find more about great Live Clean Products on Facebook!

And now, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to Live Clean for sponsoring our Operation Baby Shower event!!!  As a sponsor, Live Clean sent me a Live Clean Baby gift bundle to donate to Friends of Family Support to be distributed to a military family in need at Barksdale Air Force Base.
