That’s a wrap, folks!
Now that the 2012 holiday season is over, the decorations packed up, the presents put away, and the Christmas candies almost gone I thought I’d give you all a little wrap up summary of our Christmas preparations and activities using our new HP products.
As a participant in HP’s Pin the Halls program we received the new HP Envy 20 TouchSmart AiO Desktop computer, a $50 Snapfish gift code, and an HP Portable Bluetooth Speaker. We’ve had such fun putting them all to use.
Though I always have a tendency to procrastinate, I finally visited Snapfish.com and made our “holiday cards”–since I didn’t quite get them out in time for Christmas. The Snapfish site made it sooo easy to create a card. I had actually visited a couple other sites first, but I wasn’t able to find quite what I was looking for in a holiday card. I found the perfect one on Snapfish! When they arrived I was so impressed by the quality. They looked wonderful!
And, remember my last Pin the Halls post when I mentioned we still didn’t have a star for our Christmas tree? Well this year, after seeing how devastated our boys were that our tree didn’t have a star on top I went to the HP Create Holiday Printables pin board and found this cute paper printable star!
The HP Portable Bluetooth Speaker has been so fun to use. We have a portable stereo, but it is usually commandeered by the boys for nighttime music. Now, I can keep the Portable Bluetooth Speaker in the kitchen and listen to Pandora as I make dinner! Love how little space it takes up on the counter!
Before we got our HP Envy 20 TouchSmart AiO my husband and I had only laptops. Our laptops are strictly off limits to our kids. Now, though we can feel comfortable letting our 5 year old and 2 year old (under adult supervision, of course) play on the TouchSmart Desktop. The kids have fun playing games, watching movies, and listening to music on the HP music app.
We’ve loved doing video chats with our family in England, Utah, and Texas. The picture quality is great and the sound is sooo much better than on either of our laptops.
Switching back and forth between the home screen with the app interface and the windows main screen has taken me a little bit of getting used to. I am having a difficult time figuring out exactly how the corners feature works. It is just different enough from the corners function on my husbands Mac to make it confusing for me. I am easily confused though.
The only thing I’ve been disappointed about with our HP Envy TouchSmart is that ever since the first time we used the DVD drive, anytime the computer fan runs the DVD drive (which is kind of flimsy to begin with) rattles. I’m not sure if this is a common problem or if my computer is defective.

And just in case you missed my little video about some of the cool HP Envy 20 TouchSmart features, here is a little video I created.
Disclosure: I am participating in HP Pin the Halls program. I received the above-mentioned products at no cost to myself in order to facilitate my posts for this campaign. All opinions expressed are honest and are entirely my own.
