There are many stories, movies, activities etc… that remind us of Christmas. And at our house the Nutcracker has become a tradition. My daughter is really involved in dancing and she even has a cousin who dances in the Nutcracker every year. That’s why when I heard about The Nutcraker in 3-D I got so excited! I know my daughter will just absolutely love it! Do you know the story about the Nutcracker? If not here is a little description of it.
Now for the movie itself it is filmed in the Mariinsky Theatre which was the original home to Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” in 1892. The worldwide debut of this brand-new version in both 2-D and 3-D marks the 120th anniversary of the ballet.
Whether “The Nutcracker” ballet is a long-standing holiday tradition in your family or if you are looking for a new tradition to create “The Nutcracker would be a fun and enjoyable experience and watching it in movie theaters will be a unique way to experience this beloved classic.
“The Nutcracker Mariinsky Ballet” will debut on Monday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m., with special matinee screenings in select theaters. Tickets are available at participating theater box offices and online at Fathom Events.
