Do you have a baby or toddler that continually wants to be picked up and then put back down? I do.  My little girl is 9 months old now and is always crying to be picked up and then after a few minutes she starts kicking her feet to get back down.  I actually think her little kick is pretty cute but it can get kind of tiring on my arms and back.  Then I was introduced to the Baby Hip Hugger by Baby Nari.

Baby Nari looks kind of like a fanny pack but it is so much more!  It is actually a little seat for your baby to sit on while you hold them.  Just look here.

And not only is it just convenient to be able to sit your baby on the seat, but it is so practical!  No messy straps and buckles and it is so easy to put on.  You put it on by wrapping the Hip Hugger around your waist and then tighten the belt.  To make sure its on tight you can suck in while you tighten it.  Then you secure the Velcro and your ready to go!  You can pick your baby up and sit then down on the non-skid seat.  All you have to do is support your babies back or tummy to hang on to them.  Now you have relief for your tired arms and back.  Baby Hip Hugger will evenly distribute your baby’s weight to relieve stress on your lower back and maintain a well balanced posture.

I have found that it is nice to wear around the house as I am doing my daily activities.  We have a lot of stairs so it is nice to be able to pick up my daughter and go up and down the stairs as I do laundry, clean up, make dinner and practically everything!  Then I can just sit her down and let her play as I move from room to room.  My baby isn’t crawling or walking or anything yet but I can just imagine how amazing this would be when we go out places.  It would make things like visiting the local museum so easy to let her down and walk around and then be able to pick her right up again.  If you use a carrier it would be more time consuming to get her strapped all in but with the Baby Hip Hugger you can just pick her up and go!  Also just make sure that you get it on tight or it doesn’t work as great and you start pushing out your hip to hold your baby again.  Totally defeating the purpose of the Hip Hugger! 🙂

  1. The Hip Hugger looks like a great idea. I have tennis elbow right now and have two children that are disabled. I tend to carry the youngest and have to the push the other in a wheelchair. Man this sure would help. Will have to add it to my Wishlist.
  2. This looks like such a great thing. My husband doesn't like the carrier we have and has a bad back, so doesn't enjoy holding our very chubby 3 month old. This would help so much!
