I love fall! I love when the weather starts to cool down, the leaves start to change colors, and I love watching football.

What could better then spending a cool fall afternoon watching football? How about watching football while eating some yummy snacks! One of my favorite “get together” snacks is chips and queso.  Perfect for fall football time! So if your looking for something new to try out for a get together this is a very easy cheesy queso dip.

Here is everything you will need to make the Queso

1 lb. box Velveeta Cheese or similar store brand

1/2 a 1 lb box Velveeta Mexi Cheese

1 bunch green onions (diced)

4 oz. can diced green chilies

2 cans Chili Con Carne with or without beans.

Combine ingredients in a crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours, stirring every 30 minutes so the cheese doesn’t burn.  Make sure you scrape down the sides and bottom.  You can put it in an oven safe dish and bake at 250 F for the 4 hours also.  Then serve warm with tortilla chips!

This is a picture of everything mixed in the crock pot.  It had probably only been cooking for an hour.  Also this is a double recipe.  With the recipe doubled it fed 25 people with a little bit left over.

If you try it I hope you enjoy it!

When I am off of my diet, Chili con Queso and Salsa/Tortilla Chips are some of my favorite things to eat, this recipe sounds very nice, will have to try it one day, thank you!

  6. This looks good. Ever try making mac n cheese with velveeta, it's awesome when you make it from the block and not the ready made boxed kind......another good one is make a meatloaf and push veleeta into the middle of it, it melts into it so when you slice it it melts with it. sibabe64 at ptd dot net

This looks way better then anykind of store bought dip. I often just throw alittle salsa and CheezWhiz in the microwave for a few seconds... but I think this would be great for a bunch of people. Thanks.
