A Clothing Must-Have? Definite yes! HalfTee – Review and Discount Code!

Have you ever made a clothing purchase where you were originally a little iffy about whether or not it would be a good purchase, you get home, put on said clothing item, and immediately know it is one of the best clothing purchases you’ve ever made?

Well, that’s my experience thus far with HalfTees!  I love, love, LOVE my HalfTees!

I actually happened upon HalfTee this summer while on vacation in Utah.  I was in desperate need of new undershirts (gotta keep myself modest, ladies!), but had a couple dilemmas. 1) My growing belly.  I didn’t want to buy something that was going to be huge on me now and have to wait 6 months til it fit properly.  Even more importantly, 2) It is so dang hot and humid in the summer in Texas and Louisiana that the thought wearing a whole other layer of clothing made me feel like swearing (and I’m not the swearing type).

After I looking in just about every store in the mall I happened upon a kiosk selling shirts called “HalfTee”s.  BINGO!  Such a simple concept, but it was precisely what I was looking for.

Meant to be worn under shirts, dresses, etc., the HalfTee won’t bunch up under your clothes, won’t leave you dying of heat, and WILL keep you looking fashionably modest.  HalfTees weren’t created as a maternity line, but they are definitely something every pregnant woman should have in her wardrobe.

HalfTee sent me two tees in their new Cotton/ Modal fabric to review.  I ordered a small Modal Basic HalfTee and a small Boyfriend HalfTee.  Because HalfTee has a Maternity page I assumed that the Maternity sizes would be slightly larger (to accommodate larger chests).  Not so.  Maternity HalfTees are exactly the same as the Original.  So if you’re pregnant order a size up!

Though I could have used a size up, the tee has a bit of spandex, so it still fits well enough.  The cotton, modal blend makes the shirt super soft!  Because it has just the perfect amount of stretch, it doesn’t feel too tight around my chest or under my arms.

Another perk about the HalfTee?  They allow you to extend your seasonal wardrobe.  I went to Target and found a few cute, summer, sleeveless maternity items on sale for $5-$8! I pair them with a HalfTee, and voila, I have a fall outfit!
