Wouldn’t it be great this year for your child’s school to earn $10,000 in donated school supplies from Avery Dennison as well as 25,000 Box Tops for Education? That’s the motivation behind the Avery the Give Back to Schools promotion, now in its third year! Schools recruit votes and the 5 schools with the highest numbers will take home that aforementioned grand prize.  You can still vote at www.avery.com/giveback.

I was stunned this year as I learned just how strapped for cash public schools are today.  This was evidenced by the extensive school and classroom supply list I received for my kindergartener.  My mom never had to buy this much when I went to school!

Unfortunately, now the bulk of school and classroom supply purchases upon the shoulders of parents or teachers.  This is why I felt that spreading the word about Avery Dennison’s Give Back to Schools promotion was so important.

Oh, and there will be plenty of winning schools! 5 schools will win the grand prize of $10,000 and 25,000 Box Tops, 25 schools will win 10,000 Box Tops, and one school will win 5,000 box tops. (Ends September 14, 2012)
