We are embarking on a period in history where the majority of Americans, teenage and older, own a smartphone and many also own an iPad. We know that these gadgets are fun, enable us to stay connected to our friends, family, and work at any time we wish. What we don’t know, however, is the extent of effects of the radiation on our health and the health of our little ones that these devices can cause.
In 2011, the World Health Organization, based on findings by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, classified cell phone radiation as possibly carcinogenic to humans. The “Interphone” study showed an increased risk of a certain type of brain tumor called “glioma” from the regular use of cell phones, which the study defined as 1,640 hours or more of cumulative use. In consumer terms, that sum equates to slightly fewer than 30 minutes of daily use over a 10-year period. This study only looked at subjects over the age of 30. Children and adolescents have softer bone density which likely allows the radiation to penetrate even deeper.
Pong smartphone and iPad cases are the only solution on the market that has been scientifically proven to protect consumers from unnecessary exposure to cell phone and mobile device radiation while also optimizing the way the device performs.

In summary, Pong phone and iPad cases redistribute radiation away from the body.
I received the iPad 2 case to review. This is the first iPad case I’ve owned so when I received it I really didn’t have much to compare it with. Since receiving it I’ve kept my eyes open and checked out some of the other cases people have on their iPads. Immediately I recognized and appreciated the unique folding configurations that are possible with the Pong iPad Case. In addition to the configurations shown to the right you can prop the iPad vertically for easy reading, or slightly raised off a surface in a horizontal position for easy typing. The faux leather look is very sleek, looks professional, and easily wipes clean. Both my husband I I love this case. It makes our iPad versatile and easy to use, not to mention it looks really cool.
Pong iPad cases start at $79.99, smartphone cases start at $49.99. Both can be purchased at Pongresearch.com.
