I am terrible at being organized. This is a major weakness of mine. My lack of organization also frequently impedes my ability to follow through on certain tasks that my conscious mind deems non-essential. Things like exercise and meal planning often fall into that “non-essential” category. The thing is, exercise and healthy eating really is essential for me to function at my optimum level.
I’ve often wished I was one of those people that can just whip up a spreadsheet, and, viola, I’d have all my meals planned and my daily workouts planned and tracked. Unfortunately, I’m a total nincompoop when it comes to using computer programs. (Ironic, I know.)
I was totally excited when I found out that Microsoft Office 2010 has scores of templates for fitness, weight loss, healthy eating, and meal planning! If you can’t find the template you need on the Word, Excel, or One Note applications themselves, you can go to Microsoft Office online and search for templates.
I downloaded this Fitness Training Program Template.
I know it is a little difficult to see in this size, but on the left you can keep track of your measurements, and the template automatically calculates your BMI (body mass index). The exercises are divided into warm-up, strength, cardio, and cool down. The neat thing about these premade templates is that you can change the prewritten fields and tailor the template to your needs.
If you are looking to loose weight or inches the Measurements and Weight Tracker Template might be more up your alley.
This template calculates weight and inches lost over a one month period as well as giving you an all time loss. It also calculates your BMI.
Finally, as a part of a well rounded fitness program it is important to eat healthy. If you find that eating the right amounts of the right foods is a challenge you might want to download one of meal planning templates. You can choose from a very simple template that just records the meals for each day, or you can go all out and use one of the templates that has a meal calendar complete with shopping list.
If you don’t yet have the most current version of Microsoft Office 2010 I recommend checking it out. There are a variety of purchase options and prices depending on your needs.
Disclosure: I received Microsoft Office 2010 at no cost to myself, in order to facilitate a review. All opinions expressed are honest and are entirely my own.
