Let’s just face it, by the time lunch time rolls around and I’ve got Big Brother off to school and Little Brother down for a nap, the last thing I want to do is make myself an elaborate lunch. Even a simple lunch often requires more effort than I want to put in. Between the hours of 10 am and 2pm I’m very lazy about my food. I have a secret. I often crave microwaveable meals. They require almost no effort and are fast to prepare…but I never buy them. Why? Well, the quality is just so hit and miss, and anything with chicken in it…eww. Then I tried Kettle Cuisine soups.
Kettle Cuisine was like homemade every time!
Oh, these soups were soooo good! I received 6 different varieties to try out. The Husband took 3 of them to work, and I tried 3 for lunch at home (on different days, of course). My absolute favorite was the Tomato Soup with Garden Vegetables! It had chunks of zucchini, carrots, green beans and other veggies. The veggies looked and tasted fresh! I also loved the Thai Curry Chicken Soup. The only soup that I thought had room for improvement was the Chicken Chili with White Beans. That’s just cause I’m slightly crazy about spice though. I just added some sliced jalapeños and it was great. 😉
And the chicken! Oh, the chicken! No weird, nasty microwaved chicken taste. No strange chewy or gristly bits. The chicken was wonderful! The Husband remarked that these soups were great–like homemade. (Better than homemade probably, he just didn’t want to say that in front of me.)
