You played “the telephone game” when you were a kid, didn’t you? How about Pictionary? Now there is a fun new game that combines the fun of pictionary with the hilarity of the telephone game.
Telestrations is the award winning, laugh-out-loud party game created by USAopoly that has players simultaneously draw what they see, then guess what they saw to reveal hilarious and unpredictable outcomes. In other words, it’s the telephone game sketched out!
We invited some game loving friends over for a little game night to try out Telestrations. I read through the instructions. Then my husband explained the instructions to me, LOL. I’m not very good at understanding instructions without visual aid. 🙂 We played one round and then realized we were playing all wrong. Once we started playing the correct way the game quickly got funny. Trying to guess what the person drawing before you was thinking when they make their sketch was quite hilarious (especially because The Husband was always drawing before me).
Here are some more things that make Telestrations so fun and unique:
- Everyone plays at the same time, every turn
- Laugh-out-loud fun (good for the soul)
- No drawing skills needed – really!
- Multigenerational – kids to grandparents
- Perfect ice breaker
- Hilarious and unpredictable outcomes
- “LOL” memories to share
The general consensus among our little game group is that Telestrations is an ideal party game. It has the advantage of also being a great fame to play when you have little kids running around like we did. The game is fun, quick and easy to learn. Each round lasts around 5-10 minutes depending on the number of players, and you can play as many or as few rounds as you’d like. We had four people playing and we thought 30 minutes for a group of 4 would probably be the ideal amount of time to enjoy a full game.
The game says ages 12+, but we all thought that most kids ages 8 or 9 and older would be able to play the game. They may even make the game funnier!
Telestrations can be purchased for $29.95 at USAopoly.com
