Who was kids or grand-kids out there that get so excited every time when the mailman or ups guy comes to the house? I know my kids do. They race to the mailbox or run for the door. They actually say “The box guy is here!” It’s pretty cute. And what makes it even better is when there is actually something waiting for them.

Well there is this fun new company that actually just started a couple of month’s ago called KidCrates. KidCrates is a subscription service for kids and families that delivers packages each month that are customized based upon child’s age, gender, and interests. Items chosen are selected from a variety of toys, games, puzzles, books and more. With your subscription you get to pick the size and price of your KidCrate. They start out at as little as $15 per month and increase in price depending on the size you would like and they are delivered straight to your door each month! No hassle!  They hand select the items in the box to match your child’s interest’s and age. It’s like Christmas every month! They even had a program called SantaCrates which sent a package from Santa each month and right now they have a Valentines Day package that you can order.

We signed up to try KidCrates for 3 months and my daughter was so excited when there was a box at the door just for her! She couldn’t wait to open it and when she did this is what she found.

Pedestal Pet Pencil Toppers with fact cards and an ArtiSands kit
She couldn’t wait to try them!  So we opened up the sand kit and got to work.
Here are her finished projects!
The sand art kit was lots of fun but the age on it said 5+.  She is 4 1/2, and it did require a lot of help and supervision, but she had lots of fun with it and keeps asking to get it out.  I liked that it was a new activity for her to do and I never would have thought about doing.  It’s nice to get outside opinions and ideas on activities for kids to do.
If you have kids or grand-kids this is the perfect gift idea for them.  It is the gift that keeps on giving!  Perfect for grandparents that live far away and want to show there loved ones that they care and are thinking about them.  My daughter is so excited and can’t wait for her new package to show up!
If you are interested in some great new gifts and ideas for kids check KidCrates out on their website here and you can follow them on twitter and like them on facebook.
