I’m sure that most of you are familiar with the classic Disney movie Beauty and the Beast.  It happens to be my favorite of all the Disney movies.  I was so excited when I heard it was going to be released in theaters this January.  I was intrigued when I learned it was going to be shown in 3D.

I had the opportunity to take my kids to a screening of Beauty and the Beast 3D.  For the most part I thought the 3D was beautiful and enhanced the animation of the story, though some of the smaller, fast moving animation tended to strain my eyes.  Also, the theater where we previewed the movie did not have kid sized 3D glasses. I’m not sure who was responsible for that oversight, but, really, this is a kids movie, it is kind of silly not to have kids 3D glasses available.  If you’re going to take your kids to see this movie (which I highly recommend), make sure you call the theater to make sure they provide kid sized glasses.  Otherwise you’ll be hearing, “Mom, these glasses are to big.” “Mom, these are falling down over my ears” “Mom, these are hurting my nose.” every 5 minutes for the entire duration of the movie.

Just for fun here are some printable coloring sheets for your kids!
