We are a tech savvy, on the go society. Even many of today’s stay-at-home mom’s consider their cell phone’s and laptops must-have items. With all the gadgets we have to cart around it is nice to have something both fun and functional to cart them around in. That is exactly what the Instant Messenger Bag from Scout by Bungalow has to offer. With their chic and bold prints you’ll be making a functional fashion statement…or would you be making a fashion statement with functionality. Well, you’re sure to make a statement. 😉

Priced at just $22 the Instant Messenger Bag is an affordable accessory for the student, the professional, and the mom. The bag itself is made from 100% coated cotton twill making it waterproof and easy to wipe clean. The inside of the bag features ample room for my 13″ laptop or my husband’s 15″ laptop, books (it would probably fit a laptop plus 2-3 textbooks), and whatever else you might need to have handy. There is an inner pocket that will hold your phone, pens, cords, and more. On the outside ends of the bag are two elasticized pockets perfect for carrying drinks or baby bottles.

My thoughts:

I LOVE the size of this bag. It is absolutely perfect. I’d previously been carrying my laptop around in my husband’s old college backpack. It was large and cumbersome. This bag is streamlined, looks wonderful, and I love that it is so easy to clean.

The website doesn’t give much info on the inside of the bag so I was pleased that it had adequate organization with all the pockets.

Plenty of space for my 13" laptop, my son's favorite book, my computer cord, and the Hammer of Odin (what don't you have one of those?)

One thing you’ll need to keep in mind about this bag, if you’re planning on carrying around your laptop in it, is that there is no padding on or in the bag. Given the price that is not too surprising. Scout carries some really cute laptop sleeves that come in coordinating or complimentary patterns. The laptop sleeves will protect your hardware while in your bag. Oh, and they’re only $12!
