I LOVE salsa!  It is so versatile.  As a snack with chips, it is divine (I prefer it over chocolate!).  It will add flavor and savor to any casserole. Like tex-mex?  You can use this salsa in just about any dish!

It is great for entertaining a large group of friends or to enjoy by yourself.  Given my love for salsa, I have tried many, many brands of salsa and salsa recipes, but there is one that tops them all, and I’m going to share it with you. Like almost all my recipes I share it is super easy to make!

Save RecipeSave Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cans Petite Diced Tomatoes - drained
  • 1/2 Bunch of Cilantro
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 3 Green Onions (I never have green onions on hand when I want to make salsa so I use 1/3 sweet onion)
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Cumin
  • (optional) 1 Serrano pepper, halved and deseeded
  • Squeeze of Lime Juice

Instructions

  • Just dump everything in your blender, turn it on low (or whatever your blender's chop setting is).
  • When the onions are well chopped, turn off the blender, pour into a bowl, and enjoy!

  6. How random that I found this today - Red Gold tomato products were on sale 10/10 (the big 28oz cans were also included) PLUS they had an offer where if you spent $10 you got $5 off. So I got all kinds of diced tomatoes (all different flavors), Tomato puree, Tomato paste. We are going to be making a lot of salsa, Sauce and Chili this year!

I've never made my own but your looks delicious and not real difficult.
    • What I love about it is that it is super simple. Because you just toss everything in the blender it only takes about 10 minutes to make. The most difficult part for me is making sure I have all the ingredients, LOL. I always start making something and then realize that I missing an ingredient.
