Little Brother had a very rough week last week! It was actually pretty miserable for everyone involved. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone having this kind of week…ever.

It started with….

He had his first run in with fire ants.

In case you ever wondered what a fire ant bite looks like. They’re not pretty.  He had a total of 10 bites on both feet.

It was followed by three days of 102+ degree fever (not related to the fire ant bites).

Finally, I had to get the boys out of the house.  Hoping that maybe some time outside would cheer up Little Brother, I took them to the playground.

We weren’t there more than 10 minutes before this happened…..

He fell off a rock and went face first into the mulch.

This was after I’d brushed off his face.  He was none too happy about this.

Then this happened and we understood the cause of the 3 days of high fever…

Roseola.

Roseola is a fairly common childhood illness, but that doesn’t mean it was any easier for Little Brother to deal with.  He seemed to have had a full blown case and we had one week of complete misery.

Thankfully, this week has been much better and we are all back to our happy, normal selves.

  10. Hi Amy! Yikes... that is a rough week. We currently have the croup at our house (yuck) so none of us are getting any sleep. It makes me grumpy now, but I have to remember that these are the moments when being a parent really count. :) When you get a moment, could you email me about your experience with Wacky Jacqui's Designs? I am shopping around for an update, and to make the big transfer.
