New Fall Makeup Line at Target. You’re going to Love It! I Know I Do. ~Review~

I like to look good when I go out.  What woman doesn’t?  I simply don’t like wearing a lot of makeup.  Most days I wear just a tiny bit of concealer, mascara, and lip gloss.  I think I pull the “nothing but the basics” look off pretty well, and it’s the perfect combo for a stay at home mom.

There are, however, those time when I’ll be out all day, running errands or hanging out with friends, that I want to look a little bit nicer.   It’s then that I’ll add a touch of color to my eyes.  Nothing dramatic.  I prefer the classy, downplayed look.  If I’m going out on a date with my husband I love to accentuate the drama of my brown eyes with dark taupes and purples.  I may even add a little eyeliner and blush.

Given that I’m fairly low maintenance with my makeup routine, yet I still like to know I can turn my husband’s head, I love the new makeup lines that are making their way to Target stores and Target.com this fall.  Target is introducing a number of new lines this fall that are going to give department store makeup counters a run for their money.  The two lines that I had the opportunity to try out are JK Jemma Kidd and Pixi.

Jemma Kidd has a little something for  every style.  Whether you like the subdued, natural tones like I do, or if you’re a more high-style kind of person JK Jemma Kidd will have something that works for you.  I LOVE their Red Carpet Lip/Cheek Tint.  One end of the duo has a high gloss lip gloss with applicator.  At the other end is a lip/cheek tint with a roller ball applicator.  The pink color I was sent is a little too pink for my taste, but they do have a darker berry color that I will definitely get next time.  I also loved the Hi-Design and I-Design eye colors I was sent.  Depending on how they are applied they are subtle enough to create a sophisticated look or bold enough to make a statement.

Pixi was created over 10 years ago and launched in their flagship boutique in Soho, London.  Pixi now has a worldwide following thanks to their pure, awakening, skin loving products that create a naturally radiant, “just had a good night’s sleep” look.  Their slogan “Flawless in a few fuss-free minutes–that’s what Pixi’s all about” is absolutely perfect for their natural looking makeup.

I absolutely love their All Over Magic powder.  The powder is a combination of 5 shades that you can brush on your eyes, cheeks, face, or body for a natural, radiant glow.  Their Succulent Lip Twin is very innovative.  In the tube is a multi-purpose lip balm to soothe & heal dry lips. In the cap is solid lip & cheek tint.  It’s perfect for on the go!
