Did you know that Strawberry Shortcake was originally created as a greeting card that became so popular it turned into a cartoon? Well, I sure didn’t until we started getting netflix last year. That is when my 4 year old princess became obsessed with it. She LOVES Strawberry Shortcake! And now this week I learned that the shows we were watching on netflix are actually really old. (actually 1980’s. Did I just say old? How sad, now I feel so old!). Anyway, now I have learned that they have even newer shows out. Who knew, right!?! Well, we had the chance to review Strawberry Shortcake: Bright Lights, Big dreams, and it was really the cutest Strawberry Shortcake show yet! The characters are all updated and everything just looked really nice and cute. Here is my little princess watching the show with all her Strawberry Shortcake friends.
In Strawberry Shortcake: Bright Lights, Big Dreams, imaginations soar to new heights when Strawberry and her friends compete for some “berry” special prizes. They spin, twirl and have their annual dance-off while they show Strawberryland that there isn’t anything these girls can’t do. They also learn that the key to being a real winner is just having fun with your friends.
Strawberry Shortcake: Bright Lights, Big Dreams DVD has special features such as printable coloring pages and a music video. (By far my daughters favorite part!)
