Have you guys ever heard of Kim and Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels? I never had but I had an opportunity to try them out this week and they were so yummy!!! I totally did not expect this from a frozen pretzel! And I was really excited when I checked the ingredient list. They only contained wheat and dairy! All their pretzels are made with using ALL-NATURAL and PREMIUM ingredients, like freshly shredded cheeses, hearty spices, unbleached flour and whole grains. They also have a gluten-free line and they are all made in a nut free facility! Our kids have a bunch of food allergies so I was so excited to find a gourmet snack that we could all eat! They also come in many different varieties which you can check out here. We were lucky enough to try the Grilled Cheese and the Cheddar Jalapeno. I really want to try the apple cinnamon or the chocolate crumble. They look amazing!
These pretzels are already cooked so basically you are just warming them up. You can do it either in the microwave or the oven. So I decided to do a test and do one each way to see which I liked better.
The one on the left I heated up in the microwave and the one on the right I heated up in the oven. The microwave took 60 seconds and the oven took 15 minutes so quite a bit longer. I totally expected to like the microwaved one better but I really liked the oven baked one best. The microwaved one was quick, soft but a little chewy. The oven took a lot longer but it was crispier and just plain yummy! Either way they were both delicious so it’s all about preference. My husband liked the oven baked one better also and he tried dipping his in ranch, pizza sauce, and mustard. (He said when he was little and they bought a pretzel at Universal Studios they dipped them in mustard. So he really enjoyed it that way!)
These were so yummy and easy to heat up! Perfect for a light meal or a snack.
Kim and Scott’s hand twisted gourmet pretzels are simple amazing. They created the Pretzel Dough Program which gives a percentage of their grocery sales to local schools much like the box tops program. You can check it out here as well with ways they provide Pretzel Power, Pretzels for Peace and being Green with a Twist. This is really an amazing company with great ideas. I love companies that give back to the community.
Kim and Scott pretzels can be purchased nearly everywhere! I found them in my local grocery store and they have a complete list of retailers on their Kim and Scott’s web page. They can be found in grocery store chains like Albertsons, Target, Walmart and Whole Foods. In addition, their pretzels can be found at Barnes & Noble, and via regular appearances on QVC, where they sold more than 150,000 pretzels in just 12 minutes when they debuted on the network! You can also check them out on facebook and twitter!
So next time you are hungry for a little snack you should definitely try out these delicious pretzels!
