As parents, one of our top priorities is to raise happy, healthy kids.  Like most parents I try to feed my kids balanced meals and snacks to make sure they get all the nutrients they need.  However, there are times when they simply don’t get the vitamins they need, and there are other times when they just need a little boost.  I recently received a few samples of Emergen-C Kidz. They came just in time.  Big Brother was coming down with a nasty cold.

The Husband and I were introduced to Emergen-C a few years ago, and now we always keep some on hand for times when we need a boost or when we feel a cold coming on.  Over the four years that I’ve been using Emergen-C I’ve noticed that if I begin taking it at the first signs of a cold, I rarely get a full blown cold.

I’d thought about giving some to Big Brother, but worried about giving him an adult dose of vitamins. I was disappointed that they didn’t have a kids formula…until now.  I was so excited to learn that Emergen-C now has a kids formula, Emergen-C Kidz,  so that my kids can get the same important vitamins in a kid appropriate dose!

As I was saying before, Big Brother was coming down with a nasty cold so he tried these out right away.  The Emergen-C Kidz are a little frothy and less fizzy than original Emergen-C, but they taste great, and Big Brother loves them.  Emergen-C Kidz comes in 3 flavors: Fruit Punch, Orange, and Grape.  Each drink is packed with Vitamin C, Vitamins B-6 & B-12, plus antioxidants and electrolytes.

Because Emergen-C wants all kids to have a chance at wellness, for every box of Emergen-C Kidz purchased, they will donate $ .25 to Vitamin Angels to provide essential nutrients to one child for a year!  As a part of this campaign to provide children in need with essential vitamins and nutrients Emergen-C has initiated the Emergen-C Kidz Pledge on their facebook page.  Simply click on the “Pledge Now” button on Emergen-C’s facebook page and Emergen-C will donate $.25 to Vitamin Angels!

Emergen-C would like to share their awesome new Emergen-C Kidz with Oh So Savvy Mom’s readers!  One reader will win 3 boxes of new Emergen-C Kidz!

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Emergen-C and received samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. I just remind my kids to take their vitamins if they're not doing it on their own. They've always been expected to take them, so they don't really resist...it's just the way it's always been. That said, I know they will LOVE having their vitamins served to them in a yummy-flavored drink! Thanks! h4schaffer at gmail dot com
  2. I try to make sure they eat right, but now that my daughter is 4, she's becoming a picky eater, so I might go with a chewable vitamin. It's so funny I saw your giveaway as my husband and I are both drinking EmergenC for our annual sinus infection extravaganza, and my daughter likes taking a few sips and I was just wondering today if they made if for kids! I would love to see if she likes this. Thanks!
  3. Of course it's important to eat a balanced diet, but I think multivitamins 'take up the slack' when it's just not possible to get your daily requirements
  4. Randi Pacheco says
Right now we use liquid vitamins in milk and gummy vitamins. I would love to see if she likes this.
