A Blogtastic Extravaganza is just around the corner!  It starts on Wednesday, in fact.  Today we have our third, but certainly not final sponsor spotlight for A Blogtastic Extravaganza.

How Zoobies was born…

Zoobies, LLC was created by two young brother who shared a common desire to invent something that was fun, innovative, and functional.  Coming from a large family of nine children, they saw the need to consolidate what one could bring on long road trips and family excursions; something that was fun.

Coming from a family of ten children, I can totally empathize with the need to consolidate for car trips.  We didn’t generally take blankets on our road trips, but we did all have our own pillows.  It would have been wonderfully liberating (space-wise, I mean) if everyone had had something as compact as a Zoobie for their pillow.

It just so happened that we received our own Zoobie Blanket Pet right before a long, cramped quarters, road trip to our new house.  Big Brother picked the Lilly the Ladybug.  He promptly renamed it “Zoobie”…original.

When we got to our house we had to wait two days in an empty house before the movers arrived with all our stuff.  All we had was an air mattress, a pack and play, a couple of suitcases, and Zoobie.  It’s pretty hot in San Antonio, but it is still nice to have a blanket to sleep under.  The only blanket we had for two nights was Zoobie, and he got the job done.

My kids both adore their stuffed animals so I love that you can just fold the blanket up when you’re done with it and zip it back up inside the Zoobie and then you’ve got a stuffed animal.  If you undo two little velcro straps on the underside of the Zoobie pet, he flattens out and you’ve got a pillow. Little Brother was my model for these pics. 🙂

In addition to Blanket Pets, Zoobies also makes Slumber Pets with a fleece sleeping bag rolled up inside, Blanket Babies, and Storytime Palls with your child’s favorite storytime characters.
