In honor of our move to a new home I had the chance to review the the Cape Cod Sterling Anabella curtains. When I received these in the mail I was astounded by the weight of the box. No way was there curtains in there! The Sterling Anabella curtains are extremely well made and high quality. They aren’t your average $75 double panel curtains. These curtains retail for $750!!! I’d never pay that for a set curtains, but at only $75 you’re not going to find a better deal. Even many cheaper quality curtains are going to cost you more than that.
We didn’t know what the house we were going to rent looked like when I ordered the curtains. It turns out that the window in the boys’ bedroom is very small, well, at least it is much smaller than what I’m accustomed to. We decided just to put up just the panels with the tiebacks for now. It would look a little off-center if we tried to add valance. Besides, you need to attach the valance to a valance board (the valance conveniently comes with a strip of velcro attached to the top), and that is a project/purchase I don’t need right now. Perhaps when we are in a different place next year we’ll get to use all the pieces. 🙂
I was also surprised by how long the panels are. With standard height ceilings you can expect the panels to spread over the floor like they do in the picture above; I just tucked ours under. Because the panels are so long they’d also work great in houses with high ceilings.
We’ll be getting Little Brother a new crib next week–he’s outgrown his mini crib–and I’ve been perusing the cute baby boy bedding on Baby Bedding Zone’s site. You can also find adorable baby girl bedding styles ranging from whimiscal to posh with everything in between. Right now I’m really digging this Hawaiian style modern baby bedding set…
Don’t they have cute stuff?!
