Mother’s Day Gift Guide: Plow & Hearth ~ Review ~

If you are anything like me then having a beautiful home, yard, and garden is a priority.  I absolutely love being outside in the spring and summer.  There is nothing better, after a long winter, than feeling the warmth of the sun as you work to beautify the outside of your home.  Well, if that sounds like you or the moms in your life then you are going to love what Plow & Hearth has to offer.

Plow & Hearth has a HUGE selection of products for the home–inside and out.  Their furniture and housewares have a very traditional, almost cottage, type feel to them.  Here is one of my favorite furniture pieces.  I just love the craftsman style of this mission rocker.

While poking around on their site I also discovered that not only does Plow & Hearth carry items for your home and outdoors, they also have a great clothing and shoe line.  Now, I’m not sure if The Husband knows this about me, but I used to be a huge shoe buff.  I’m not so much anymore because I had expensive taste when it came to shoes, but I can still spot a great shoe.  Plow & Hearth happens to carry some of my all-time favorite shoe brands including: Clarks, Dansko, Ugg, and Teva.

So what did I choose to review?  Was it a beautiful solar fountain for my front yard?

That would be nice, but, no.

Was it this cool Bottoms Up Planter?

Someday I’ll have those hanging all over my porch, but still, no.

Here is what I chose…

The girl in me has always wanted a beautiful bird house and I loved the birdhouse with patriotic bunting!  When ours arrived it was raining and I didn’t feel like putting it up in the rain so I set it on our mantle.  I quickly began to love the character it gave our mantle and have decided that our birdhouse will make it’s home there…until we move, at least.  The birdhouse is absolutely beautiful and has real wood shingles.
