Mother’s Day Gift Guide: For the Hip Mom – Blue Platypus – Review

Sometimes moms just need to kick back, relax, and have a little fun.  Many moms (like me) are easily caught in mommy wardrobe monotony.  It’s not really hard to get caught when you spend your days being slimmed by bananas, drool, and who knows what else.  I’m not about to subject the few nice pieces I own to the wet whims of my 1 year old.  Not to mention the fact that, when you’re a mom on the go, comfort is key.  So, how to look good and still be comfortable?

Blue Platypus is an indie clothing line with styles that help moms feel young, fresh, and hip.  Their vintage, kitschy styles are both comfortable and flattering.  Here is me sporting their Enchanted Forest Zippy…

LOVE the back design.  There is some metallic coloring in the far left tree.

This has quickly become one of my favorite shirts.  It is so comfortable!  It is made of french terry cotton with a little spandex.  The fit is very flattering and slimming.  I love the sleeve length too.  The sleeves come all the way down to the heel of my hand.  I just love how fresh and modern I feel in it.  It is nice and different than the rest of my conservative (with the exception of just a couple pieces) and sometimes boring wardrobe.  Not only do I love this shirt, but my husband loves it when I wear this shirt.  It’s his favorite of my wardrobe!  I get lots of compliments on the days I wear it.
