About Boodle Bottoms

Boodle Bottoms pants were designed specifically to fit cloth diapered babies.  We manufacture, package, label and ship our pants in the most eco-friendly manner possible.  All fabric is American made and 100% organic, then sewn in the USA by fairly paid workers.  Our pants are shipped in reusable cotton bags, also made in the USA, with recycled hang tags.”

Currently Boodle Bottoms carries a Classic Pant design made from a 70/30 blend of organic bamboo and organic cotton (so soft!).   There are 4 different colors to choose from.

Our Take
Straight out of the packaging these pants were sooo soft!  The rear of the pant is sewn with a separate panel to accommodate a cloth diapered bum.  Unfortunately for us we ordered the wrong size.  Little Brother (9 months), at 21 lbs., is on the upper end of most of his 9-12 month clothes (with the exception of some of his pants in which he wears 12-18 months to accommodate the diaper).  I wanted to give an accurate view of how the pants fit so I ordered the 6-12 month size.  Lets just say that the pants were a little small.  Lesson 1: check the sizing chart!  The 6-12 month size is meant to fit babies 13-18 lbs.  According to his weight Little Brother should wear 18-24 month Boodle Bottoms.  Thankfully, I have a very cute 7 month old neighbor who is 14 lbs.  The pants were perfect on her!  She was wearing a gDiaper–the trimmest cloth diaper I’ve found–and there is plenty of room to accommodate a larger diaper without looking baggy.  These pants are thin and light, perfect for the spring, summer, and fall (or year round if you live someplace like San Diego).

So Cute!

I think Boodle Bottoms have a wonderful thing going!  There are some things I hope to see from Boodle Bottoms in the future.  I would love to see a pant in a “straight-leg” or “boot-cut” style.  The tapered leg on the pant looks so cute on babies and little girls, but I’m not so much a fan of it for toddler boys.  I’d also love to see some thicker pants made to wear in the colder months.
