For those of you that didn’t know I was recently in California for a week.  I know, you’re thinking, “wasn’t she just there?”.  Well, yes, in fact, I was.  About a week after I got back from CA in August one of my sisters emailed me and said she was planning on going out for a week at the end of September and would my other sis and I like to join her.  Well, we haven’t seen her in over a year so it was a no brainer.  We packed up our 5 kids, ages 6, 4, 3, 1, and 7 months, into my sister’s mini van and made the 10 hour 13 hour road trip (sadistic–I know).  We drove merrily along accompanied by a chorus of “how many more minutes til we get there?”, “Mommy! I don’t know what to do!”, “he’s touching me!”, “how many more hours til we get there?”, and several measures of crying from the baby.  It was fantastic!
Well, the time we had more than made up for the discomfort of the traveling.  Big and Little Brother alike had an absolutely wonderful time with their cousins!
We went to the beach!
Had a BLAST at Disneyland!
And no trip would be complete without eating some great sushi!

We had an absolutely wonderful time!  There is nothing better than great time with family!

  1. I agree with Cuzinlogic, you are some brave women! 13 hours in a car with 5 kids...phew!!! But I'm glad you had such a great time. And it's so great you were able to get all the cousins together like that and get to spend time with your sister. Those will be some special memories!
