We had a fun Chili Cook-off and Trunk or Treat at church

Robin on the lookout!

We decided to go low budget this year and I am happy to say that I am quite pleased with the results.  Don’t the Caped Crusader and the Boy Wonder look so cute!  I’m happy to say that I didn’t spend anything on the costumes.  Well, I did buy Big Brother’s Buzz Lightyear pj pants that little brother is wearing, but other than that everything else was free (including the bat cape that I got free at a yard sale), or was given to us as a gift (like the Handy Manny tool belt that we turned into a bat belt).   Now if I can just come up with no money, no stress costumes every year…wouldn’t that be nice!

In other news, it’s going to be a long night!  Little Boy Wonder has come down with the stomach virus I had last weekend.  Sad baby. =(  The husband and I came home from our date to find my wonderful mother-in-law holding a sad baby all covered in puke.  Don’t they always wait til you’re gone and surprise the babysitter?  Ours seem to.  Get better soon Little Brother!

  1. They look great! I am going to Children's place after halloween sale tomorrow to see what I can find for next year. I hear they are only $1-$2 for costumes. I plan to be there in the morning.
  2. I love the Batman and Robin costume! What a great idea! And even better that it was almost free! Gotta love that. Hope he's feeling better soon! Never fun to have a sick baby!
  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I love the picture of Jesus and child, it is how I view myself. That is why I use it as my avatar. That is neat that you are related by marriage. I had another blogger tell me she had a bunch of the pictures from something she was a sales person for, I can't remember what it was any more.

I've been co-hosting a blog hop on Friday and Saturday called "Do You Realize Your Blessings?" stop by next weekend. musingsmomspirit.blogspot.com

How fun I love the costumes. I think the low budget is the best way. We did the same made the costumes and the boys never knew the difference.

Love the blog, I'm a new follower :)
