My New Addition!

There has been a new addition to my blog!  Look over to the right.  Now down just a tad.  Yep, that’s it!  I made that cute little button last night.  I’m so proud of myself!  I know, you’re thinking. “it’s just a little button, what’s the big deal?”  Well, for this technologically challenged individual that little button represents three and a half hours worth of work last night.  Yeah, so I could have paid someone a fraction of what I used to make in three and a half hours of work to make the “simple” thing, but, for me, making that button was like summiting a small but, nonetheless, daunting mountain, and it HAD to be done!

One of the things I was hoping to gain as a result of starting this blog was a bit more computer/internet know-how.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not one of those people, stuck in the Dark Ages that doesn’t even know how to send an email.  I email, I attach, I facebook, and do most of those other things that people our age do, but pre-blog you could mention things like HTML, URL, photoshop, widget and my mind would instantly go blank.  Nope, nothing concerning those wonderfully useful and technologically savvy terms was stored up there in that cranium.

And where am I now?  I’m now sitting victorious, telling you all of how I came, I learned what all those weird symbols on photoshop mean, I read the HTML, I copy and pasted, and I conquered! (You may applaud if you feel so inclined.)  I now have a button that is there for the taking!  Feel free to grab it and post it on your blog if you’d like.

  1. Great job, the button looks wonderful!! I am very impressed! Way to go making it yourself. I'm not the brave or patient, I entered a bunch of giveaways for blog designs/buttons and actually won one. It's not up yet, but she is going to start making me one soon!

Awesome job on the button. My sis is very tech savvy and the first time I tried doing all this sort of thing I gave up in tears. She did it for me.

I have since learnt and redid it all myself, but it didn't come easily to me either, so a HUGE congrats from me. It's realyl cute.

I just found your blog on FMBT and look forward to reading more.
  3. Way to go Amy! I like to consider myself semi savvy, but I have no idea what those terms mean either, Ha! Maybe I am more behind than I think :).
